What is the Italian government scholarship
It’s an amount of money that helps you pay the costs you face when you study at university.
It's granted by public competition to students who meet the requirements and is paid in two installments.
The Italian Government Scholarship
The Italian Government Scholarship is a grant offered by the Italian government to students enrolled in Italian government universities. This scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, personal expenses, and provides a daily meal allowance.
During the course of their studies, students are provided financial support, with the scholarship estimated to cover more than 10,000 euros per academic year. This includes tuition fees, accommodation costs, personal expenses, and daily meals.
How can I get the scholarship?
To qualify for the Italian government grant, it is a prerequisite that your Family economic Situation does not exceed 24.335,11 euros.
Which document are required:

Family Composition Certificate: This document should include the names, surnames, and dates of birth of the student's parents, siblings, and other individuals living in the same household as the student. Specific information about parents is necessary, such as whether they are deceased, separated, divorced, or if the student comes from a single-parent household. If the student is married, the family composition includes the student, spouse, children, and any other relevant members.

Annual Income Certificate related to the previous year of the request ( e.g. Scholarship application 2023 , you need the Annual Income Certificate of 2022: This certificate should detail the annual incomes earned abroad in 2023 for all members of the family unit, . In cases where 2023 income certificates are unavailable, 2024 income documents are acceptable for non-EU students, while EU students must provide 2023 income information. Certificates spanning two different years or based on monthly income are not accepted. For countries with different fiscal or solar calendars, income should cover the entire Italian solar calendar year. Documents must reflect gross income for the entire year. Unemployed adult family members should provide proof of their unemployment status. Additionally, if the family receives government subsidies or assistance, relevant documents are required. If there are retired family members, a certificate detailing their retirement income for at least one month is necessary.

Bank Accounts and Movable Assets: This document should outline the bank accounts, deposits, and other movable assets (such as bonds and shares) held by each adult family member as of December 31, 2022. Translation into Italian is required but not legalization. If any adult family member lacks a bank account, this should be specified. An affidavit or notary certificate, translated and legalized in Italian, is acceptable for this purpose. Failure to provide this information for all adult family members will result in exclusion.

Immovable Assets (Real Estate): students must submit a document detailing immovable assets (real estate) as of December 31, 2023. This requirement stands even if no family member owns immovable assets or if they no longer possess them at the time of document issuance. Rental agreements cannot replace property documents. The property certificate must include the square meter measurement of the property. Land-related asset documents are not needed. Even if one family member owns immovable assets, the absence of property documents for other adult members, including the student, must be indicated.

Students who want to apply as independent (i.e. without submitting the economic documents related to their parents) must submit documents proving their own income from work in 2022 and 2023 and that they have been living on their own for 2 years at least. The income in 2022 and 2023 must be 9,000.00 € per year at least.

High School diploma and Enrolment in the university within 31 October
If the student wants to apply to Master’s degrees

Enrolment in the university within 30 November
In order for a student to qualify for the government scholarship, they must successfully complete a specific number of credits each academic year. First instalment (20% of the total amount)
Students winner of scholarship receive the amount in two instalments. The first instalment is paid automatically as follows:
